Position: POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE
Specialty: Ecosystem modeling and/or Fish stock assessment
Location: RSMAS, University of Miami, Miami Florida
Duration: 1 year renewable up to 3 years depending on funding
Stipend: $48,000 – $54,000 depending on experience
Experience: No postdoctoral experience required
Requirements: Doctoral degree in Quantitative Fisheries, Fishery Economics, Quantitative Ecology, Applied Mathematics or equivalent. Candidates need to have experience on at least one of the following: fish stock assessment, mathematical modeling, statistical modeling or object oriented programming.

Position description: Candidate will work with UM-CUFER and NOAA-SEFSC scientists in two possible research projects: 1) to develop methodologies that can be applied to fish stocks in the SE of US, or Gulf of Mexico 2) to create an integrated system model for the Gulf of Mexico using the ATLANTIS ecosystem modeling framework.
