I am originally from Knoxville, TN, and attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville where I earned a B.S. in mathematics, specializing in ecological modeling in May 2007. I enrolled in the University of Miami’s ITME (Institute of Theoretical and Mathematical Ecology) program, a dual degree program between the Department of Mathematics and RSMAS, in August of 2007. I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in MBF as well as an M.S. in Mathematics. I am working under Drs. David Die (RSMAS-MBF) and Chris Cosner (Mathematics) on my interdisciplinary dissertation which is currently under development. My primary area of interest is in the development and implementation of large spatial scale population and individual based models for highly migratory species, such as white marlin.
